Dr. Sharib Manzoor has been practising dentistry for more than 30 years and has been serving patients in Kitchener through MI Dental since the practice opened in 2016. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan and has built a broad clinical background across general, restorative, cosmetic and surgical dentistry.

His approach begins with listening. Understanding what a patient is experiencing, what concerns them and what they hope to achieve helps shape the discussion that follows. Dr. Manzoor believes patients should receive clear information about their condition, the treatment options available and the advantages, limitations and long-term considerations of each approach.

He also believes that a dentist should offer meaningful guidance rather than simply present a menu of procedures. When one option appears better suited to a particular patient, he explains why. The final decision, however, remains with the patient.

Throughout his career, Dr. Manzoor has continued to expand his clinical knowledge through ongoing professional education and training. His experience includes restorative dentistry, root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, extractions and laser dentistry. He incorporates new techniques and technologies when they offer a meaningful benefit to patient care.

Dr. Manzoor is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and maintains active memberships with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, and Ontario Dental Association. He is registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.

What continues to make dentistry interesting to him after more than three decades is that no two patients and rarely two clinical situations are exactly alike. That variety, combined with the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients, remains one of the parts of dentistry he values most.

Dr. Ali Ahmed brings more than 30 years of clinical experience to MI Dental, with a particular focus on implant dentistry, surgical extractions and other procedures that require careful planning and a calm, methodical approach.

He understands that surgical and implant treatment can feel intimidating for many patients. His approach is therefore centred on clear explanations, thoughtful treatment planning and helping patients understand what to expect before, during and after a procedure. He believes that reducing uncertainty is an important part of making dental treatment more comfortable.

At MI Dental, Dr. Ahmed works closely with patients requiring dental implants and surgical extractions, including more complex cases when appropriate. He also provides oral sedation for selected patients when clinically indicated.

His manner is calm and reassuring, and he places particular emphasis on patient comfort and communication throughout treatment. As with all care at MI Dental, the goal is not simply to complete a procedure, but to help patients understand the diagnosis, the available options and the reasoning behind the recommended approach.

Outside the practice, Dr. Ahmed enjoys mountain biking and spending time on the trails. It is a fitting counterbalance to clinical dentistry—both demand focus, judgement and the ability to adapt when conditions change.

Krysten’s on a mission to make your dental experience nothing short of amazing. She will guide you through the entire visit, from insurance and scheduling to explaining procedures in a way that is easy to understand. Think of her as your dental concierge!

Jessica is always brightening up the day with her infectious smile and can-do attitude. She is the master of multitasking, juggling everything from prepping procedures to polishing teeth (and doing it all with finesse!).

Meet Ziana, the ultimate multi-tasking mastermind! This Wilfrid Laurier University alumni (go Hawks!) has an Honors Health Sciences degree under her belt and a passion for, well, just about everything!

But what really gets Ziana’s heart racing is working with kids! She’s spent years volunteering and working with young minds, and she is always up for a fun challenge and as an aspiring dental health care provider, she is stoked to be working with the amazing team at MiDental!

Meet Shannon who came to us from Thunder Bay and has been spreading joy and healthy smiles since 2005! This people person is living her dream as a dental assistant, and it shows as she will tell you herself, there is nothing quite like the thrill of seeing a patient’s face light up when they realize they have conquered the sometimes daunting world of dentistry and come out the other side with an even brighter, healthier smile.

Shannon is thrilled to be working in a field that’s always evolving. ‘Dentistry today is exciting!’ she exclaims. ‘It’s constantly changing, and it keeps me on my toes!’

Meet Tori, the dental hygiene live wire with a passion for people and a penchant for puck-handling! This Georgian College grad (Class of 2017, woohoo!) traded in her psychology textbooks for a dental hygiene degree!

Tori’s all about empowering her patients to take control of their oral health, and she has got the perfect blend of expertise and enthusiasm to make it happen. She loves nothing more than educating her patients on the importance of self-care, from brushing and flossing to, well, not eating too much sugar (sorry, we had to!)

Tori thrives on meeting new faces every day and finds it ridiculously rewarding to see her patients smash their dental hygiene goals! And when she is not busy changing lives one tooth at a time, Tori loves lacing up her skates for a game of hockey, or swinging for the fences on the baseball diamond.
