Laser-treated tissue still undergoes normal biological healing.
Patients may feel comfortable relatively soon after smaller procedures, but the tissue continues to repair and mature over time. Recovery depends on the location of treatment, the amount of tissue involved, the procedure performed and the individual patient’s healing response.
For this reason, we do not describe laser treatment as producing “instant healing.” The laser changes how the tissue is treated; it does not eliminate the body’s normal healing process.
